Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki tested negative for corona virus. The news of his test was contained in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie.
His statement noted that the result is that of the rapid diagnostic test, while the governor awaits the result of the PCR test.
Governor Obaseki however decided to remain in self-isolation following the close contact he had with the Bauchi state Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed and the Chief of Staffs, Abba Kyari who tested positive to Corona Virus.
The Senior Special Assistant to the governor of Bauchi on Media, Muktar Gidado revealed this in a press statement on Tuesday.
“In the meantime, the Edo state Governor has decided to work in self – isolation as he is asymptomatic to the Biological Warfare Weapon (COVID-19).”
However, UWATV awaits the result for more conclusive PCR(polymeric chain reaction) test on Corona Virus.
