“We believe we can win but we know it’ll be a difficult match. We know their strengths but we’ll give it everything. Before that we have a match against Strasbourg. It was frustrating not being able to play in the first match due to my suspension,” Fekir said following the victory over Toulouse.
Lyon responded well after a surprise 2-0 to Monaco by beating Toulouse 5-1. “We played well. We were anxious to respond after a poor result in Monaco, it’s good for our confidence. Especially ahead of the match against Barcelona.”
Nabil Fekir is one of Olympique de Lyon’s star men and hopes they will be able to see off FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League. The French midfielder has recovered recently from a minor injury and, after missing the first leg through suspension, is aiming to be 100% for the return leg at the Camp Nou next week.
